Dr ManuAroha Walker (BDS, BHSci)
Dentist/Owner
ManuAroha was born and raised in Invercargill and is a true blue Southlander. She went to Te Kōhanga Reo o Ngā Hau e Whā Rockdale Park Primary, then Tweedsmuir Intermediate and Southland Girls High School.
Graduating initially in Dental Therapy she returned to undertake Dentistry and graduated in 2009. Upon graduation she followed the sunshine to Australia and undertook a variety of dental experiences from high end dental practices to outback dentistry in the Northern Territory.
Mother of four, she felt it was time to come home with husband Jason to raise their children around family and friends they had missed so dearly.
Her special interests are oral surgery, community dentistry and creating a beautiful smile.
Dr Emma Naera ( BDS)
Dentist
Emma Ritchie graduated from the University of Otago in 2007 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Credit. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and finds it to be an exciting and rewarding profession. She finds the greatest job satisfaction is getting people out of dental pain and prides herself at being gentle and being able to put patients at ease.
Emma, her husband and three young children moved to Invercargill four years ago and have enjoyed exploring this beautiful part of New Zealand.
Alejandra Sanchez
Dentist/ BDS
Ale graduated as a dentist in Colombia in 2012. After working for five years in the public sector, her adventurous spirit led her to start traveling. In 2017, she arrived in New Zealand and fell in love with the country’s beauty and tranquility, prompting her to settle there. Over the past few years, while working as a dental assistant, Ale has been preparing for her dental registration in New Zealand.
In her free time, she continues to explore her love for travel, discovering New Zealand’s stunning landscapes, enjoying nature hikes, and spending quality time with friends.
Georgina Welsh
Oral Health Therapist
Georgina graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2012. As an Oral Health Therapist, she has worked in various roles in the dental industry. This includes for the Southern District Health Board, New Zealand Universities as an educator in the Bachelor of Oral Health programmes, private practices in New Zealand, as well as internationally where she worked as a dental hygienist in London. She even managed to do some dental volunteering in Cambodia. In her spare time Georgina enjoys gardening and travelling the world.
Annette
Office Administrator
Annette is our Office Administrator and the friendly face who greets you when you arrive at the surgery. Starting in Orthodontics after finishing school. Annette has had over 30 years’ experience in Dental and is able to offer helpful advice when needed. She has worked clinically as well as in the administrative side of a practice.
Away from work Annette enjoys gardening, good food, movies, reading, great walks and most of all spending time with her family, grandchildren and catching up with friends.
Taylah Wiki-Quest
Practice manger/ Dental assistant
Taylah started working as a Dental Assistant five years ago and absolutely loves working in the Dental Industry. Previously she worked as a Hairdresser for five years. She feels that she has found her passion at Remarkable Smile. Taylah is very bubbly and loves to have a laugh and chat with patients.
